Mother of Andy Tamargo
Andrés "Andy" Tamargo was born in Tampa (Florida) on October 12, 1920, being the ninth child of the couple formed by Francisco Tamargo Suarez (Lago, Asturias, 1876) and María Guadalupe Carreño-Flores (Arcallana, Asturias, 1882).

The family emigrated to the US in the year 1900 and settled at 110 Main Street in West Tampa, Hillsborough. Francisco works during the first years as a cigar maker at Bustillo's Bros & Diaz Cigar Company and the family grows to 11 siblings.

Andy Tamargo enlists on 05/09/1942 in Jacksonville (Florida) becoming a member of the US Coast Guard Corps. In 1944 he embarked on the USS LCI 961 whose theater of operations would be Nueva Guinea, participating in the Cape Sansapor operations between July and August 1944, being his job Seaman 1C.

In October 1944 he embarked on the USS LST-204 taking part in the landing operations of Leyte, New Guinea and the Island of Mindanao.
​
He graduated in 1946, married Mrs. Rachel Lonson in 1950 and worked as a farmer. Until your retirement.
He died on April 23, 1999 at the age of 78 in Odessa, Pasco County, Florida, USA.
Andrés "Andy" Tamargo nació en Tampa (Florida) el 12 de octubre de 1920, siendo el noveno hijo del matrimonio formado por Francisco Tamargo Suarez (Lago, Asturias, 1876) y María Guadalupe Carreño-Flores (Arcallana, Asturias, 1882) . ​
La familia emigró a Estados Unidos en el año 1900 y se instaló en 110 Main Street en West Tampa, Hillsborough. Francisco trabaja durante los primeros años como tabaquero en Bustillo's Bros & Diaz Cigar Company y la familia crece hasta 11 hermanos. ​
Andy Tamargo se alista el 09/05/1942 en Jacksonville (Florida) convirtiéndose en miembro del Cuerpo de Guardacostas de Estados Unidos. En 1944 se embarca en el USS LCI 961 cuyo teatro de operaciones sería Nueva Guinea, participando en las operaciones de Cabo Sansapor entre julio y agosto de 1944, siendo su trabajo Seaman 1C. ​
En octubre de 1944 se embarcó en el USS LST-204 participando en las operaciones de desembarco de Leyte, Nueva Guinea y la Isla de Mindanao. ​
Se graduó en 1946, se casó con la señora Rachel Lonson en 1950 y trabajó como agricultor. Hasta tu jubilación.
Murió el 23 de abril de 1999 a la edad de 78 años en Odessa, Condado de Pasco, Florida, Estados Unidos.
